About the speaker:
Shri Satya Bhupal Reddy Ji is a Gandhian committed for protecting Biodiversity,and social transformation at grass roots level has started his career as farmer in a tiny village in Prakasam district in 1981 after completion of M.Tech in Regional Planning from IIT Kharagpur. Later with his vast experience in farming sector he promoted an NGO (REEDS)working in the drought prone remote tribal areas on holistic village development. Having experience in Biodiversity, sustainable rural livelihoods, and poverty alleviation through comprehensive rural development programs, Sustainable agriculture ( Seeds to Sales concept : Non-Pesticidal Management, Integrated Pest Management, Bio-technology, grain storage, Processing and Marketing), Agro-forestry, Natural Resource Management – Rain water harvesting, Safe Drinking water, water resources management, Revival of traditional water resources, Community forest Management, Home stead forestry, Health, Hygiene and sanitation – , Reproductive Child Health, traditional birth attendants, low cost latrines. He created a large nework of Self help groups, ( 10,000 women)village organizations(107Villages) farmers’ networks (5), community forest management groups(25) Educating People to write Village biodiversity registers in 25 villages. Adolescent girls associations, Paramedical workers associations and NGO Networks like Jala Samakhya.

Positions: Executive Director of Research in Environment Education and Development Society, General Secretary Water Consortium Network, Advisory board member in NSS Unit of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. Life member of All India Institute of Town Planners, India, Member in Jala Samakhya. At Present APSSAAT GB Member and Member in REAC , ANGRAGU .
Present Work: Madhya Bharath Vananchal Samrudhi Yojana in Rajasthan,Gujarat,Maharastra,Madya Pradesh, Chattishgarh, Jharkand, Orissa , Assam,Arunachal Pradesh , A.P. and Telangana States. Enumaleru rejuvenation program in Prakasam district with the support of Yojak and Sewa International. Tribal Sub-Plan in Vizianagaram district with the support of ICAR-IIOR. School Education Program in Giddalur with the support of Dr. Gajula Syamsundar,Rtd. Director, ICAR-IIPD.
