A brighter, more inclusive future starts with proper menstrual hygiene and empowerment!
With this inspiration, team UBA, IIT Roorkee embarked on an inspiring journey to bring menstrual hygiene empowerment to rural areas. Along with the incredible SHG women, UBA joined hands to manufacture and promote sanitary napkin machines that go beyond just production.
The team met with Mr. Virag, owner of the brand "PADWALA" to discuss their involvement in manufacturing sanitary napkin machines and promoting menstrual hygiene awareness. With his support, the aim is to establish a supply chain, form a dedicated team comprising SHG women, and market the products effectively. The team estimated a 3-month settlement period and focused on producing pad sizes above 280 mm as per market demand.
