Action Plan for Higher Education Engagement Program of UBA in collaboration with C 20 - LiFE working group Civil-20 is one of the Engagement groups of the G20 process. The purpose of Civil20 (C20) is to bring together voices, ideas and solutions from civil societies across the Globe. The C20 group leverages the diverse spectrum of our society and is expected to channel the G20 process towards being inclusive, people-centric, democratic and better informed. For the past few years, Bharat has been highlighting ‘Lifestyleʼ as one of the issues requiring global discussion. Lifestyle for the Environment is one of the important discussion themes in all three tracks of the G20 process.  The C20 in Bharat has created 14 working groups covering various aspects that civil societies work on. LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) has been identified as one of the significant working groups.

One of the very fundamental aspects of human endeavor is education. To leverage the enormous talent pool of the higher education sector, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan the flagship program of the Education Ministry in India, in partnership with C20-LiFE has engaged to conduct a higher education student engagement program under Civil 20 LiFE. Under the leadership of Prof. V. K. Vijay, National Coordinator, UBA, through its network of 3400+ higher education institutions, will be engaging in various programs under different themes of C20-LiFE. These programs would include webinars to churn the intelligentsia for their inputs on various themes of LiFE. It will also connect to the community through the Samajashalas in villages where UBA has partnered.
