The Regional Coordinating Institutions (RCIs) are identified on the basis of their earlier experience and infrastructural competence etc. These institutions will act as nodal centers for promoting & facilitate UBA network in their region. These will be responsible for grooming the other participating institutions in their region in addition to carrying out their own village cluster activities. These are the institutions identified by the NSC for the purpose of better coordination of the programme in specified areas/States. The RCI will have their own login credential to view and review the work of PIs in their region. Additionally, the RCIs have a strategic role to play, they have to identify a challenge relevant in their region / states in collaboration with PIs and State government.
Role of Regional Coordinating Institutions (RCls)
At the national level, a web based system is in place with an interface enabling the knowledge Institutions and other key stakeholders to log-in and give suggestions/comments, and even raise queries or complaints. These would be promptly responded to by the implementing authorities. Every activity taken under this programme, will be photographed and geo-tagged and made available in public domain. The outputs under each activity would be measured every quarter vis-à-vis the physical and financial targets set out in the Village Development Plan.
Role of Regional Coordinating Institutions (RCI): In order to facilitate, guide and monitor the activities of the participating institutions, a few regional coordinating institutions (RCI) are being identified on the basis of their earlier experience and infrastructural competence etc. These institutions will act as nodal centres for promoting UBA network in their region. These RCI institutions will be coordinating and networking regionally with participating institutions and will be responsible for grooming the participating institutions in their region/ states in addition to carrying out their own cluster activities. Each mentoring institution will also be expected to develop a 'Interface' of UBA for development interventions and customization of solutions. Financial Support to RCI: The RCI shall be centrally supported as well as they can raise their resources as needed. Proposed funds are Rs. 10 Lakhs per RCI per year.
