Empowerment of women not only uplifts individuals but also cascades into holistic societal development. When women are empowered, their impact extends far beyond their immediate surroundings. They become agents of change, fostering sustainable development, nurturing future generations, and contributing to the socio-economic fabric of the nation. Rural women of India have immense calibre and talent, and the alacrity to learn new things and make it big in life. To achieve women empowerment at the ground level, Team Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), IIT Roorkee introduced the Bio-Enzyme initiative. Bio-Enzymes are organic cleaning solutions that are produced by the fermentation of citrus fruits, jaggery and water. This is an organic solution which comprises of good bacteria which produces enzymes to digest waste, stains, soils, and malodors. They are environmentally friendly and encourage a sustainable way of life as compared to toxic chemical floor cleaners.
