This proposal aroused from the observation of kitchen waste being underutilized, with the potential for productive use identified by various organizations. The other incentive was to create employment opportunity for Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in rural area. With low set up costs, a straightforward production process, and a good marketplace, this initiative aims to elevate the income and living standards of SHG members. Bio-enzymes, once manufactured, serve as eco friendly alternatives to harmful cleaning chemicals commonly used. To introduce this concept, the team organized a workshop in Puranpur and Beladi Village, facilitated by Mrs Sameera Satija, a Social Entrepreneur, and a member of the Women’s Indian chamber of Commerce and industry (WICCI). This year, the team actively contributed to the ongoing village initiative by supporting marketing, packaging, and encouraging women to establish additional production units.
