On April 28, 2023, the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) took a significant step in promoting women's health and hygiene awareness in the villages of Padanpur in ward no. 12 and Khudupur in ward no. 11. UBA generously provided these villages with sanitary napkin vending machines as part of their ongoing initiative.
These vending machines offer women a safe, hygienic, and convenient means of accessing sanitary napkins, contributing to improved health and cleanliness. Furthermore, they play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and effective waste management system within the villages. These machines have been strategically placed in locations where nearby shops offering sanitary napkins are not readily accessible, ensuring that women have a reliable and nearby source.
The operation of the vending machines is simple and affordable; users can access sanitary napkins by inserting a 5-rupee coin. To ensure that the villagers are fully aware of how to use and refill the machines, an expert was brought in to provide a demonstration. The introduction of these machines was met with great satisfaction and gratitude from the villagers, signifying the positive impact of this initiative on women's health and well-being.
