A mass awareness program on " Balance diet and prevention of Tuberculosis" and general health checkup was conducted by the UBA cell of Sikkim Manipal college of Nursing at an adopted village Rawtey and Sajong Rumtek on 2nd Dec 2023, the 4th year B.Sc Nursing students did a role play on nutrion negligence leading to TB and its impact on society at large. A total of 60 idividulas were provided free general health checkup wherein 14 indiviuals were found to have high blood glucose level and 35 indiviuals exhibited high blood pressure at the time of assessment, considering the situation the participants were given health education on lifestyle modification strategies. The program had the presence of 40 residents of Sajong village along with staff of Health and wellness center Sajong and Zilla Panchayat and panchayat members. The awareness program was well appreciated by the audience.
