Embracing the timeless wisdom of the saying, "there is no friend as loyal as a book," the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) took a proactive step to enrich the lives of students in the adopted villages. Recognizing the importance of literature in education, UBA embarked on a mission to procure a diverse collection of books covering subjects such as Science, English, Math, Hindi, and a captivating assortment of storybooks.
This endeavour bore fruit on May 30, 2023, when a mini-library was inaugurated, housing a treasury of nearly 100 books penned by accomplished authors. Presently, these literary gems reside within our central library, where we organize regular opportunities for students to access and delve into these literary treasures. Moreover, as part of our commitment, every Saturday, we ensure that these books are available when our teaching volunteers visit the schools.
In our ongoing efforts to enhance access to these valuable resources, we are diligently working on the development of library cards for students residing in nearby villages. These cards will grant them free and unrestricted entry to the rich collection of books housed within our central library. To maintain an organized system and ensure the responsible use of these resources, we diligently maintain a register to meticulously track borrowed books.
This initiative embodies UBA's unwavering dedication to nurturing a love for reading and learning, making knowledge readily accessible to students in the surrounding communities.
