Civil-20, as an Engagement group within the G20 process, serves the noble purpose of fostering collaboration among civil societies worldwide, gathering diverse voices, innovative ideas, and effective solutions. Notably, the Government of India has bestowed the esteemed position of Chair of Civil 20 (C20) upon Mata Amritanandamayi, highlighting the group's official affiliation with the G20. Within Bharat, the Indian C20 has established 14 working groups encompassing a wide range of areas that civil societies actively engage with.
Undoubtedly, the diversity of life on our planet confronts significant challenges arising from a multitude of threats, such as climate change and deforestation, among others. However, it is vital to recognize that each individual possesses the capacity to effect positive change. By joining forces, we can protect our precious planet and work collectively to ensure that global warming remains below the critical threshold of 1.5°C (2.7°F). Our actions have a profound impact on the planet, predominantly influenced by choices regarding our diet, consumption habits, household energy usage, and modes of transportation.
