The UBA team of SKN Sinhgad College made a pilot
survey to ascertain the needs of the village people. From
door to door visit, it was found that most of people use
clay stoves (chulhas) because all villagers can’t afford
LPG stoves. This causes health issues to villagers due
to smoke of wood fire. So, it was resolved to provide
pollution free and economical way for cooking. In this
way, by using biogas plant villagers can live healthy and
pollution free life. The main advantage is price required
for LPG stove is reduced as it is one time investment.
